Camping With a Baby – What You Need to Bring

Camping is one of the happiest bonding moments of the family. This is the time where you can leave mobile phones, laptops, PSPs and other gadgets for a while to enjoy nature and of course the company of the whole family. However, it is not always easy most especially if you are camping with a baby. There must be few considerations that you must be strict about to ensure safety and comfort of the baby. Most of all, you need to remember to bring things for the baby.

Here are some examples of things that you should not forget to bring when camping with a baby:

1. Insect repellents – There are lots of mosquitoes, bugs and other insects present at night especially if you are camping in a forest or mountains so to protect your baby from insect bites, it would be best to bring insect repellents. Babies have very sensitive skin so you should avoid insect bites that may trigger allergic reactions or rashes with your little ones.

2. Diapers – Of course you should not forget about bringing disposable diapers including wet wipes so you can easily clean and freshen up your baby. You should estimate the number of diapers that your infant may need to avoid shortage.

3. Baby clothes – You should know by now that babies can easily create mess in their clothes, with the foods they eat, sweat, saliva, and other dirty things in the surroundings. With this, you should bring lots of extra baby clothes so they can be changed at any time. You must also make sure to bring comfortable clothes for them like clothes that are made of 100 percent cotton.

4. Distilled water – Avoid upset stomach in your kid by bringing distilled water supply. Water to drink can be a sensitive issue among babies as their stomach can react easily to contaminated water.

5. Baby blanket – This is another protection against insects and cold weather. You should bring this in your camping activity with your baby. This will make him/her comfortable even if you are sleeping in a tent. It is advisable to bring separate blankets for the babies and for adults to avoid discomfort of sharing one blanket.

6. Baby toys - They may throw tantrums every now and then so be sure to have some baby toys with you that will get their attention. It is good to bring musical toys for them.

Galapagos Islands Wildlife: Mammals

Galapagos sea lion is probably the most famous and easily viewed. Friendly and used to people, it is common to see sea lions basking in the sun a pleasant, lying on a wall or bench in the city as if it is completely natural.

Apart from the Galapagos sea lion, Galapagos fur seals there, endemic to the islands. Galapagos fur seals are much smaller than sea lions and will be visible with easy access to deep water on rocky cliffs. The waters around the island also is home to many species of whales:, Minke Bryde, Humpback, Sperm and shortfin pilot whale. In addition Orca, bottle-nosed dolphins and common can be seen.

There are few land mammals here compared to the amount of land birds in the Galapagos: the three species of rodents and two species of bats. This is because mammals can not survive long without water and so many native animals are blown to the islands in and among the floating vegetation, sweeping out from the mainland by flooding rivers, did not survive the journey more than 600 miles. Instead it is a reptile that survived the trip, explaining a large number of those who still inhabit the island.

Galapagos Islands are easily accessible by plane from Guayaquil and Quito airport, international, and thus can easily be combined with a trip to mainland Ecuador or indeed other parts of South America.

The Hidden Worlds Adventure Park in the Riviera Maya

Did you ever imagine what it would be like flying over a large winged creatures as they appear in the movie Avatar? Just to image minute alone fly through the air rises like a giant beast like dips, crests and the artful twists through the sky. Now imagine yourself on the line heading that mimics many of the same movement. This is the idea behind the post World amazing coaster roller Hidden in a new line called Avatar.

Our adventure begins with a set of zip lines around mid-tree level. That is a good intro to some of my friends who have never been on zip lines. We’re talking about a crowd of 50 that are not possible in America started as an adventure because of either fear or perhaps the idea that a vehicle is to set the young explorers. I am pleased to see my friends overcome their fears and take the first step of a high platform into a big hole in the bottom, keeping the faith only harness and rope. Each managed to glide through the tree without incident; look of joy on their faces is contagious. They have done it, and ready for more challenges.

For the Avatar we got back to the top of this cenote, a walk through the woods and ride the platform to approximately mid-tree level. The trip consisted of a metal rod that drops, rises and twists through the trees and then down into the cenote, finally ending in the water. Users tied to the bar and holding the grip, like a bicycle grip and pushed through this way mimics the movement of a roller coaster.

I was the first to go and certainly does not disappoint. Once off the platform you make a sharp fall down, and then pushed back and then down again, turning the corner and into a dark plastic tube filled with water, and then down at the great bend into the mouth of the cenote, bending and finally dropped into the water cool cenote. It was a blast: you loose your belly like a roller coaster and get wet like water slides.

After we moved into the cenote Avatar swim where we left vest and jumped into the depths and refreshing swim to a small cave where we can find stalactite formations. At some point the ceiling so low we could touch the roof, in others it rose 30 feet above such as cathedral ceilings. The cave was equally complex and enjoyable as most every other cenote in the Rivera Maya area and it is definitely worth a visit.
